Actually I did a few of these dirt cheap Aeroflot flights in the 90s and I'm lucky to say that I made it through all of them. Let's just say they were not all good experiences. Ugh. Now that I travel with my family I'm sometimes willing to pay a little bit more - for non stop flights, for better departure time records, for amenities like individual tvs. I'm not up to paying for using the bathroom or for trying the standing room only seats they're proposing. I like the budget airlines for short flights, but for longer hauls, sometimes I'm willing to pay a little bit more. I'd like to see the airlines focus on differentiating on service and onflight experience for a change, and not just price. Thanks for the blog!
